Hello Everyone! My name is Keshav Harpavat, and I am the Founder of Pipes for the People. At Pipes for the People, we are passionate about sharing the bagpipes with individuals with cystic fibrosis (CF) and other chronic lung illnesses.

People often ask me: Why CF?

A few years ago, I became sick with a respiratory infection and stopped playing my pipes. Someone suggested that I pick them up and try playing again.

I decided to give it a try, and the results were incredible. I could feel my lungs clearing up.

I realized that this experience had the potential to help others in a similar way. When researching lung diseases, I came across cystic fibrosis, a genetic lung illness that begins at birth. By connecting with my local CF community and learning more about the challenges children living with CF face, I started Pipes for the People. Today, the program is growing across 15 countries on 5 continents, with support from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through its Impact Grant program.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to play a small part in a growing movement to find cures for cystic fibrosis and other lung diseases.
